AGPS trainings and social events are designed to mentor new professionals and students, expand the knowledge and clinical skills of all members, and enrich and rejuvenate established practitioners.
At the center of our training opportunities are our Annual Conferences facilitated by internationally recognized experts in the field of group theory and practice. Fall and Spring Workshops and additional trainings by local professionals cover a broad range of topics. Training Institutes led by local experts are offered several times per year and serve students and professionals from aspiring to expert-level practitioners.
In addition to this programming, our popular Friday Night Conversation Series provides an opportunity for learning in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. This series of informal discussions of group-related topics is hosted by members in their homes and facilitates closer connections among AGPS members. Our social events are a great way to meet new people and visit with friends and colleagues.
Members enjoy the benefit of publicly listing their practice information as well as providing detailed info about groups that they offer in our searchable therapist directory and groups directory on our website.
Members will receive periodic emails that cover news, reminders about upcoming events, and new issues of The Voice: The Newsletter of the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society. The Voice contains clinical articles, interviews with guest presenters, and other information about AGPS.
To become a member, please select a membership level and then proceed through the registration process.
