About Me
Janet Griffis, MA, LPC, LMFT is an individual, couples and group therapist. She is trained in multiple family systems models, couples therapy models, group therapy, holistic nutrition, EMDR and mediation. Her approach to therapy is grounded in modern analytic, object relations, attachment theory and interpersonal neurobiology. Janet is a big fan of feelings! Our emotions provide us with all of the information we need about our histories, our present selves, and how we protect ourselves from pain and discomfort. Janet guides her clients with curiosity, patience and self-compassion. Janet enjoys working with clients from all walks of life - mostly adults. Her specialties include family of origin attachment wounds, trauma recovery, eating disorders and substance abuse, divorce recovery, blending families, infertility and parenting. Janet sees individuals, couples, families and also runs groups.
