Friday Night Conversation
When the cat's away, the mice will play:
Boundaries outside the group room
Hosted by:
Jill Steward, LCSW
Date:
Friday, September 17, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Event Description:
This Friday Night Conversation will address boundaries in group therapy with a focus on social relationships outside the group. We will discuss the various potential personal connections in such places as the waiting room, parking lot, online with Facebook or email, unexpected social encounters and secret meetings. We'll explore what happens when outside friendships, romantic relationships or sexual attractions are formed and how to handle these situations. This meeting will be an open forum for all of us to discuss this topic. You will be invited to share any of your experiences or thoughts regarding boundaries in group. We may start with relationships outside of the group room but we could go any number of directions with boundaries.
